These are all the files related to witnesses who were either immediate family members or friends of the victim Meredith Kercher.
The Kercher family members deposed and testified that Meredith was in daily contact with her mother, father and sister, mostly by phone, text or email. They referred a few things that Meredith noted about Knox. As noted by her mother, Meredith had a strong practical sense, and was serious about her friendships and studies. She had a bright and positive personality, as can be seen from the photo gallery here. Upon news of Meredith's death, her friends and acquaintances at the University of Leeds dedicated a tree in her honor.
Filomena Romanelli and Laura Mezzetti were roommates of Meredith Kercher and Amanda Knox. They all lived in the upper apartment of the cottage. Romanelli and Mezzetti both deposed and testified about how there was some increasing friction between Meredith and Knox, given their divergent personalities, ways and goals. Romanelli's and Mezzetti's testimony is particularly relevant to the murder discovery, which can be found on this page.
Giacomo Silenzi lived in the lower apartment of the cottage. He had recently started going out with Meredith. On the night of the murder, he was in his hometown of Porto San Giorgio, together with other roommates of the lower apartment, who also came from there.
These witnesses were women from the UK who were studying in Perugia. Meredith was closest to Purton. They frequently hung out together as they were taking classes together. Meredith and Purton were also friends with Butterworth and Frost, and little less with Bidwell, Power and Rodenhurst.
