These are all the files related to witnesses not related to the victim or the defendants, who noticed things on the night of the murder or early the morning after the murder.
Coletta, Occhipinti and Salciccioli were involved with a car breakdown very near to the cottage gate entrance, from roughly 22:30 to 23:15 of November 1st. The car breakdown can be seen on the CCTV footage here. None of the three noticed anything in particular nor heard anything in particular, except for a constant movement of persons going to and coming from the parking garage. (This is noticeable in the CCTV footage). The testimony of the tow truck driver Lombardi on March 28th, 2009 is interesting because he confirms the timing of his arrival and departure (23:00 to 23:10- roughly), which matches the timing on the CCTV footage. In addition he testified to seeing a car parked just in front of the cottage gate, and that the cottage gate was ajar.
Alessandra Simoneschi heard a strange animal or bird sound near the cottage on her way home around 1:30-2:00 AM on November 2, 2007 (shortly after the approximate timing of the murder). Nara Capezzali heard a scream and running in two different directions from the cottage (on the cottage drive path and up the metal stairs of the parking garage) around 23:00 to 23:30 of November 1, 2007. Antonella Monacchia heard conversation by a man and a woman coming from the cottage, after 22:00 on November 1, 2007. The conversation was animated and then became shouting, followed by a scream of a woman. Maria Dramis heard running under her window coming from the alley to which the metal stairs lead from the parking garage. She heard this on November 1, 2007, after 23:00, and estimated that the running happened possibly around midnight.
A homeless man who 'lived' in piazza Grimana and claims to have seen Knox and Sollecito in the piazza on the night of the murder, from roughly 21:30 to 23:00. His March 28, 2009 testimony is especially relevant, in particular the last part of his testimony where judge Massei asks him questions directly to clarify the timing of when he saw them and how he saw them.
He claims he saw Guede, Knox and Sollecito on the night of the murder. He described that Knox and Sollecito had knives, and that Guede asked to rent his car for 250 euros. He noted that Knox had a green purse, and the knife she had was large and shiny. His courtroom testimonies raised doubts as to his credibility as a witness. However his June 24, 2008 interview is interesting.
The manager of a store who claims he saw Knox enter his store early on the morning of November 2, 2007 (the morning after the murder, but before the murder was discovered), and she went to the area of cleaning products. He was not sure it was Knox or whether she made purchases, but his description of her eyes and clothing seems to match. She had a cap and scarf to hide her face.
